According to Japan's "Selling News", Japan University and Shimadzu Making Bureau announced that it will jointly develop "cultivate meat" techniques such as snowflake beef using 3D printers. Osaka University and Shimadzu Production Plan to show 3D printing "cultivate meat" on the 2025 Osaka · Kansai World Expo.

Japan's "Favration News" said that "cultivating meat" technology will help to alleviate the food shortage from population growth, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions from animal husbandry. Saizaki, a professor of Graduate School, Osaka University, said that it is hoped that it can make a meat like a cow in the future.
